I'm totally crushed today...I received terrible news. Okay...so it' s not that important in the scheme of life, but man, I just can't believe it! Roaring Fork in Austin is no longer serving their Chopped Salad that I adore so very much and have even blogged about my love for it. I mean, this was no ordinary salad...3 different kinds of lettuce, a huge amount of rotisserie chicken, bacon, avacado, 2 kinds of nuts (one of them candied) and the best salad dressing known to man! Well imagine my surprise when I called in my usual order only to be told that it no longer existed. So the guy on the phone clearly hears that I am crushed and "sells" me on the great replacement salad...the Chicken Club Salad...so I say ok with hesitation. Well let me tell you that was nothing but a complete dismal! Next time I want a completely boring & ordinary salad for $14.00, I'll go to Chili's and order 2 of them!!!! I might have even sent a comment to them via the web! Sorry for my rants...my love for food probably isn't a healthy thing anyway...maybe God is slowly taking away my favorites so I'll eat less & less!!! Hope you had better luck with lunch today!

Love the two salads from Chili's comment. You could also get two salad bar orders from Souper Salad or Sweet Tomatos for that price.
RIP to the Chopped Salad.
Oh MAN. That IS a tragedy. Seriously. Once you find the perfect salad, it is hard to transfer that love. I totally feel your pain!
You should call in once or twice a week with different voices requesting it. Maybe they'll rethink it. Or better yet-- involved friends and family! Be the Norma Ray of the salad business. :-)
Oh it is terrible to have one of your favorites taken away! This always happens to Tim. We laugh about it now but when he is craving Spree (not the chewy kind) and they are next to impossible to find we don't laugh much. :)
