The Screaming Goat

Yes...you read that correctly. It's an actual restaraunt here in Austin. And it's good. Don't let the name hold you back, I assure you that I did not eat goat while there. It's close to downtown off of 10th & Lamar in an older house. A friend & I went there a couple of weeks ago. And they have the BEST queso and their chips are very different & yummy. And I can also vouch for the tilapia taco, but if you are more of a beef or chicken kind of person, they have that too! There nachos look great, someone next to us got them. Anyway..2 thumbs up from me!

sooooo jealous. I miss random tex mex places. You would think as close as we are to DC that our town would have more "variety", but NO!! I miss Austin!!
